Blanchard Grinding Services

(5) Large Blanchard Grinders:  48" OD, 60" OD, 84" OD, 96" OD, 128" OD.  Operating 2 full-time shifts. Specialties: Rugged Steel Tables and Work Benches, Robot Pedestals, Machine Bases and Base Platforms, Large & Heavy parts. Blanchards are known for creating the "cross-hatch" patterns ground into the parts. These are the best machines for removing heavy stock, removing from 1/8" to over 1/2" of stock at a time, and normally finishing at .005"- .010" thickness and parallelism tolerances. We can reach up to 45" tall on our largest Blanchard Machine.

Reciprocating Grinders

(2) Large Reciprocating Grinders: 14" x 36" x 180" and 15" x 48" x 220 +" capacity. Specialties: Multiple Small parts, Multiple long flat bars, Tool Steel Plates, Decarbing Tool Steel. These are some of the largest Mattison Reciprocating Grinders in the world.

Surface Grinding Services

(3) Large Surface Grinders:  largest capacity to 31" x 36" x 173". Specialties: Grinding Tool Steel to close tolerances, .001" - .003" thickness with .001 parallelism. Tight tolerances for Flat, Parallel, and Square 6-sided work. Excellent for Shear Sharpening and repairing worn blades for heavy machine shop cutting shears.

Annealing & Stress Relieving Heat Cycles

Heating processes such as annealing and stress relieving remove the inherent stress properties in steel, which improves the property characteristics for machining and allows us to grind to tighter tolerances and flatness standards. The Car Bottom Furnace reaches temperatures up to 1350 (stress relieving steel parts) - 1600°F (annealing steel parts) and has the capacity to heat parts filling an 8 ft. x 8 ft. x 14 ft. space. The soak time is determined by the type of material and by the thickness of the parts. If you have special requirements, we will quote special heat cycles to meet your individual requirements, including special heat cycles for Castings. With 10 overhead cranes,  12 Workstation Jib cranes, and 8 fork trucks running throughout the plant, we have the capacity to manufacture parts and fabrications to 40,000 lbs.
