Inside our 60,000 sq. ft. plant, our plate burning department operates three cutting tables, Burny, Kodiak and ESAB - Plasma. The Burny handles plate up to 8" thick. The Kodiak table has the capacity to burn plate up to 14" thick. The ESAB has the capacity for oxy fuel cutting plate up to 14" thick with one torch, while also possessing a second, separate cutting device. This second head, a plasma cutter can plasma cut and bevel cut up to 1½" thick plate.

We stock a full inventory of 96" x 240" flat sheets of certified A36 steel plate, including thicknesses ranging from as small as ⅛" thick to 9" thick. We regularly torch cut plate up to 9" thick at our shop. We inventory additional grades of carbon steel and alloy plates, including HRS, 1020, 1045, 4140, A572 grade 50, A514-T1, and Steel Bar in various sizes. Whether for steel shapes such as rectangles and OD/ID rings or for 12-foot long plates having notched edges surrounding complicated hole patterns, we'll be able to quote you a competitive price, find a way to meet your schedule, and deliver you quality parts.

With two full-time CAD programmers dedicated to preparing CAD-files for our CNC cutting machines, our sales and management team review drawings with you until final approval is reached. At times, our burning department management may call to clarify a drawing. With extensive CAD drawing experience, we store all revisions for each part. Not only will we have the current version of your drawings, but we also store past revisions and modifications for each order. Our storage system also includes Plate Number references to the Job # and certifications (MTR) when required. Many of our customers call us to re-order parts referencing an old Job Number.

We receive Mill Test Reports (MTR) for all certified A36, 1045, 4140, A514, A572-50, and tool steel plate. We can provide Heat Reports for parts that are annealed or stress relieved in our 40,000 lb. furnace. And, for material only orders, you'll find that the parts are deburred to customer satisfaction.
