Our mission at Precision Grinding is to be the best steel plate processor in the industry with the most dedicated and productive work force by strictly adhering to the following principles:

Precision Grinding was established in 1971 and is locally owned and operated in the Oxmoor Valley area of Birmingham, Alabama. Please, view directions to our plant. The original business focused on Sharpening Shear Blades and the Regrinding of all types of metal products for U.S. Steel, such as welding dies and custom machine parts.
Today, Precision Grinding is a highly respected and successful Plate Processing facility serving over 2,500 machine shops and job shops. We have some of the largest grinding equipment in the southeast. We stock a large inventory of steel plate. Among our many metal machining and steel fabrication capabilities, we have a stress relieving and annealing furnace on-site. Recently, we added another Precision CNC Machining Center to our plant. Our largest CNC Machine is capable of Machining 31" x 78" x 122".
With a team of over 50 highly professional and dedicated employees, our plate cutters, grinders, and machine operators have an average of 10 years experience, and all are familiar with industry standards for thickness, flatness, and parallelism.
