Our Mission
Precision Grinding's mission is to be the best steel plate processor in the industry with the most dedicated and productive work force by strictly adhering to the following principles:

Precision Grinding was established in 1971 and is locally owned and operated in the Oxmoor Valley area of Birmingham, Alabama. The original business focused on the regrinding and sharpening of all types of metal products for U.S. Steel. Please, see written directions.
Today, Precision Grinding is a highly respected and successful steel plate processing facility serving over 1,200 metal machining customers in the nation. We have some of the largest grinding equipment in the world. We also stock a large steel plate inventory. Among our many machining and steel fabrication capabilities, we have a stress relieving and steel annealing furnace on-site. And, just recently we added another heavy-duty Precision CNC Machining Center to our plant.
With a team of over 40 highly professional and dedicated employees, our machine operators have an average of 16 years grinding experience, and all are familiar with industry standards for thickness, flatness and parallelism.
